Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club #5-202

This is a very nice condo in great condition. The unit is well stocked with everything you may need, including some beach equipment. I would be happy to stay here again.

Love this complex. We stayed in this complex (different unit, different property co.) about 10 yrs ago, and liked it so much we decided to return. This particular unit (5-202) is lovely. Building is at the end of the complex, nothing but ocean off the balcony. Was a little intimidated at first using this property co., as there were forms to sign - almost didn’t book because of that. Glad we did though - no issues whatsoever. Unit was clean, furnishings up to date. Highly recommend and can’t wait to stay here again!

We were very happy with our recent stay at Condo 5202 at the Keauhou Surf and Racquet club. As usual, the pool and the grounds were in immaculate condition. The unit itself had a newly renovated kitchen and a very comfortable bed. There was a great supply of equipment to borrow to take to the beach. The kitchen was also very well stocked. Another reviewer mentioned the lack of welcome goodies we have come to expect on other visits to other condos, but apart from that, I really cant fault Condo 5202. We really hope to return again one day from Australia.

The pictures do not do this unit justice. It is truly a magical spot, with the most picturesque view of the ocean we've had during our many visits to Hawaii.

The team at Knutson we truly exceptional, checking in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. They even accommodated our early check-in request, so we were able to get into the rental a few hours early!

We would absolutely return to this lovely spot. It is close to magic sands beach and areas south of Kailua-Kona, and a quick ride into the town for great food options. Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was unforgettable.

We are very much looking forward to returning to the big island and would 100% recommend this unit for any families. We were a family of four, and the 2nd bedroom was perfect for our two daughters.

The unit is outfitted with a ton of gear for the ocean - boogie boards, beach umbrellas, snorkeling equipment and even some tennis rackets!!!

This condo is very nice. The location perfect for me. It is far away from the Uptown Kona vibe. It is not a party place with folks yelling, and carrying on. It is quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Loved the pool. This condo is right on the ocean and the lanai is the perfect spot to watch the glorious sunsets. It was clean, well furnished(not that cheap uncomfortable rattan stuff) and had all the water toys i.e. beach chairs, fins, snorkels, umbrellas, coolers etc. the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was that the condo was hot in September. The outside temps were around 88 and the inside temp was 84 during the day and dropped to 77 in the early morning. I was aware this condo had no A/C. Most days there were no trade winds which is unusual. There were lots of fans and and i had then all on. Knutson responded promptly(they are so pleasant) to My asking for a standing fan within about 4 hours i got one even though it was after hours. That helped as it was tall enough to blow air at bed height. One cannot control the weather and i eventually got used to it. If you are heat sensitive, this is something you will have to consider if you are coming in September. Likely the rest of the year would be fine. Other than that i would highly recommend this condo and this rental group. I have stayed in this complex before and i always enjoy the experience. BTW, it would be nice to have a welcome gift upon arrival, box of chocolates or pineapple etc. Always had that before. Mahalo nui loa for a perfect, quiet, truly Hawaiian experience.

We had a great stay at the Keahou Kona Club property. The apartment was spacious and immaculate. The grounds we beautiful with plenty activities and adjacent to a beautiful natural ocean front area. Neighbors/permanent tenants were very nice as was the staff. Would definitely stay here in the future.

We loved our stay at this property. The best part was literally being right on the water! We fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves, and woke up each morning looking at the waves surrounded by palm trees.
The unit was super clean when we arrived, and had a helpful binder with everything we’d need to know about the property and places in the area.
It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which was great for our family.
It was also close to anything and everything on the Kailua-Kona coast. Most drives under 15 minutes!
And, silly as it sounds, it was right across the road from a little strip mall that had places we frequented. It had a great coffee and crepe shop (Peaberry and Galette), a made-by-hand pizza place, and a Long’s Drugs that we visited frequently for last-minute items we needed.

The pictures don't do this justice. Right on the ocean and a lovely clean apartment. Well appointed kitchen and convenient location. Only thing that would make this great place outstanding is a new king mattress (very creaky).

The place is spacious and has beautiful ocean view and sunset view. The appliances in the kitchen are new and the furnitures in the living area are updated. The kitchen is stocked with everything including cooking oil and salt and even the plastic wrap for the food. I also find two boogie boards and one little kid life jacket and beach chairs in the place are useful.

2 minutes drive or 9 minutes walk to the Kahalu’u Beach Park, which is a good snorkeling spot for the beginner. There are so many fishes that it's like you swim in the aquarium. It's also shallow and safe if it's not high tide.

There is one tip to use the washer machine. You have to wait for a while before the water is filled in after pressing the button. Initially I thought the washer machine has problem.

I found the place on airbnb, but when searching the reviews of the place name, I find the booking link in the Knutson & Associates Property. It's a couple of hundreds cheaper than booking through airbnb for one week. I took the risk to book from the Knutson & Associates Property website directly and luckily it turns out it's a smooth experience.

This place was even more beautiful than the pics online! The stunning views were wonderful. The lanai was our favorite “room.” Full kitchen with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths was plenty of room. The complex was in superior shape and perfectly maintained. It was quiet and serene. The property management was attentive to all of our needs. We will return to this property!

The condo itself has unparalleled views and is relatively updated and tastefully decorated. It’s in the last building in the complex which is private and the lanai is spacious. There are two major drawbacks that will prevent us from returning. First, there is no AC in the unit. This was not specifically called out in the listing and we had stayed in another unit earlier in the year that had it. I falsely assumed. In the winter months it may not be an issue but in July and August the experience was grueling and we had to turn all the fans on which was noisy. Also, the building wasn’t built with the best insulation and you can very clearly hear the neighbors. Thumping feet, dragging furniture, screaming kids. It was almost unbearable. It would be my recommendation to install AC and contact the property upstairs to install proper padding on furniture feet and to ask for their guest’s consideration of the neighbors below. Other small issues that were reported and worked through and the management company was friendly and responsive.

The ocean views and the lanai are as gorgeous as the pictures depict. Incredible sunsets and sunrise. Property management was communicative & responsive. However, be aware that the interior (especially bathrooms and kitchen) are very dated. Also, if you're a light sleeper, if you happen to have noisy neighbors (above and below), that maybe an issue.

If you are just looking for a location that has a spectacular view, this is it. Oh and it was basically clean. But if you need anything else, like a coffee maker that doesn't take 45 minutes to brew 6 cups of coffee, or kitchen drawers that don't fall off the tracks when you pull them out, or bed linens and pillows that are very old and really need replacing (the pillows themselves smelled liked they hadn't been replaced in years so I'm not sure how many heads have slept on them) I would look at another property. I don't mind if a property needs a little refreshing (as this one certainly does) but I do require that everything functions properly and my bed doesn't make me believe I'm actually staying at a budget motel off the highway.

Then we would close the screens at night to keep the bugs out. Being able to see and hear the ocean was the absolute best! I have tons of pictures of the waves crashing into the lava rock.

There were a few issues about the place, but Blake at Knutson & Associates replied quickly and things were resolved. It was nice having someone so close to handle any issues. I mentioned to him about the plastic trash can breaking and within a few hours there was a new one sitting at the front door.

I felt really good about our stay there, and would do so again in a heartbeat!

The location is good as well. You close enough to Kona to see everything there, but can travel to see the northern and southern sights of the west side of the island. It’s a drive to the Hilo side but it is for everyone no matter which side you stay on.

Your also close enough to Costco and Safeway for groceries. The condo is a 25 minute drive from the airport. This was nice when flying in and out.

The grounds at the resort were well kept. There is a great tide pool just north of the condo, and fabulous snorkeling on the other side at Kahalulu beach park.

We also saw frequent rainbows in the morning and amazing sunsets at night!

One week stay in an oceanfront condo in Kona was pleasant. Condo kitchen was sufficiently equipped to cook meals if desired. The unit could use some upgrading but it was okay and everything worked. Management company was very helpful and professional.

This unit was as advertised. Great location and view. The grounds are very well kept and clean. The unit was adequately supplied with all the necessary items you would need/expect at a condo rental. Even though it does not have A/C, the fans and ceiling fans help with the ocean breeze and certainly once the sun sets. The sun sets are amazing from the lanai as is the sound of the breaking surf along the lava covered seashore. While at the unit, we spent most of our time on the lanai and that is where we ate when we stayed in for a meal. The description is accurate, and I expect the unit may be updated the kitchen and bathrooms are dated, however, they were clean. Bottom line, if you are looking for a great view, convenient location that is quieter than the busy streets closer to Kona, this is a good option and we would stay in this location again. We enjoyed the peaceful location at the end of the resort area with less traffic.

For one of those two weeks we always stay at a Knutson and Associates property in Kona.

Keauhou Surf And Racquet Club.

This property truly is heaven on earth. When you first walk in the condo, you are greeted with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean through a wall of windows. Open those windows and hear the waves crashing majestically against the coast. The sunsets are spectacular from this large lanai. We eat almost every meal looking out there at the colorful sunsets, so relaxing and memorable.

Every view from this condo is picture perfect, inside and out. The two bedroom condo is beautifully decorated with a Hawaiian motif. You will sit in the most comfortable sofa and chair in the living room and slumber in a Sleep Number bed in the master and your guests and you will view a lush garden from bedroom number two. Plenty of closet space is available in both the bedrooms and hallways. In the kitchen, you will want for no utensil: plates, cups, you have it all.
All appliances-stove,oven, microwave, fridge, washer and dryer work superbly and the water pressure and temperature is fantastic.
All beach and snorkel gear is provided as well. You won’t have to bring much and you won’t have to buy much at Long‘s, except for your personal items, like sunscreen. Other plusses -the complex is quiet, beautifully landscaped and about a two minute walk to the north is a cove where you can wade in the water and possibly see some sea turtles. Up the coast are the most beautiful beaches on the big Island.
This location is super convenient-close to shopping, restaurants and town, and yet quiet and private.

Great location with amazing Lanai to watch sunsets and hang out. Unit is a hit dated but clean and very spacious. The only thing to note is that it did not have beach towels and very few regular towels so bring your own if you need them. Otherwise, great condo, we would stay there again.

Location of this Unit on the Water's Edge and backed up to a Golf Course was great- Except we had two days of pretty constant Construction work in a nearby unit. (Saws, hammering)The inside was beautiful, Except that bathrooms were in need of better cleaning- shower doors and air vents and ceiling fan thick with dust. Additionally, a note was left on our door asking us to move our vehicle for week because of annual tree trimming- and no further assistance was given. No nearby parking available. Despite the above issues, we enjoyed our stay. The location fit our needs. Shopping Center so close was a bonus. Very beautiful grounds. Did not use the pool or courts.

Unit 202 in building 5 is THE perfect place! The location was about 5 minutes south of the Kona Center making the shops, restaurants and nightlife easily accessible while also allowing a quiet retreat. The condo was in great condition with all the amenities we needed to pack picnics and entertain family on the balcony. It was a dream to go to sleep and wake-up so close to the water. I would love to return to this amazing oasis!

We had a great time in Kona. The building was very nice and quiet and the view was breathtaking. The unit was nice and clean unfortunately two things about the condo was very disappointing. The photo of the balcony shows a nice table and chairs but thats not what is on the balcony. What is on the balcony is an uncomfortable high top table and the king size bed was very very uncomfortable. Over all we did have a nice stay.

Management company was very proactive in assuring our stay was perfect and our needs met. WiFi was having issues and needs to be updated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hawaii. The location of the condo was fabulous. Close to family dining and fine. You are literally a stones throw from the water!! There is this amazing splash that happens right in front of you. We spent so much time out on the balcony. Full kitchen! No AC but honestly the winds cool you down. Only issue we had was some bugs in the kitchen , house keepers also didnt do best job prior to arrival. I believe Inwoukd stay again. I like condos , wife likes resorts. Value of this place was amazing! I do k ow that there some people I know that could not stay here because of bugs but its Hawaii they probably couldnt go at all.

Great location -- quiet, and so close to the ocean, which was amazing. Loved hearing the surf at night and also sitting on the balcony watching the waves come in -- terrific spot, and one of the nicest in the whole development since the building is at the far end!
Property was clean and well equipped. Appreciated some initial supplies on hand, and also availability of soap, detergent, sponge.
Would be useful to provide info on local shops, Safeway, restaurants. Lots nearby but took us a bit to discover it!
No directions on site for use of TV or music and could not figure them out -- some guidance would be helpful. Similarly guidance on what to recycle and where useful if one is not from Hawaii.
Problems with drains in both bathrooms -- this is something that should be monitored regularly.
Towel racks in master bath were loose (one fell off and broke) -- again not a big deal but cosmetic touchups would enhance the place.
Primary concern was bugs and occasional cockroach in kitchen -- I know this is Hawaii, but better bug traps and advice on how to manage would be helpful. Just needed to be very attentive to keeping the kitchen clean!
Despite these things we had a great vacation and liked the place a lot, and would highly recommend it -- could just use a bit more attention from the owner for guests. Blake from rental company was helpful.

We could hardly move ourselves off the was just so wonderful looking out over the ocean. A very comfortable suite...very well equipped with lovely Hawaiian decor. Really enjoyed our stay here. The comlex grounds are like a tropical park..very well kept and clean. Very nice pool also well maintained and clean. Easy to get to the shops in Kona and the Keauhou Shopping Center is literally walking distance and has good restaurants, a grocery store, drugstore, and interesting shops galore. Blake was great to work with. Very much appreciate him taking my call right away when I had questions after we first arrived. Very professional and a seamless rental process. Thanks so much for a great stay!

unit is as described.quite,close to the water,would rent again

The best part about this condo is the fantastic view from the balcony. It is right on the water and it has a view up the coast. So pretty! Property managers helped with any problems. Having a kitchen was a must. We were happy. We suggested that they install a ceiling fan in the master bedroom for better airflow.

My son and I was overwhelmed how nice the condo was , everything we needed for a beach trip was at our fingertips! ,

d dryer was very useful! New appliances and everything you could possibly want in the kitchen! Grounds were fragrant air filled with plumeria while you walked to and from the condo , geckos a plenty :)
I would definetly stay here again!

The views from this property are second to none. We will only choose to stay in building 5 at this resort from this point forward. We were so happy.
